Skipper Roy

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

Roy Hart is an outdoor man – ex-skier, boat lover and owner of Skee-Tex ski shop in Battlesbridge. Roy is going to lend the project one of his boats. He showed me his collection of craft (I counted 4), which are dotted around the rivers-edge at Battlesbridge. I chose the elegant green one (pictured) as it seemed the most romantic and reminded me of the one in the painting The Lady of Shalott (1888) by John William Waterhouse. Roy will be captaining our boat trips - allowing us to drop sculpture parts in the reservoir, clear the island and float the sculpture over to it.
